The storyline of Gоd оf Wаr Ghоst оf Sраrtа PPSSPP is a direct continuation of the plot from the previous game. The game begins with a prologue in which the player controls the character of Kratos in his final battle with Athena, during which he mortally wounds her. As she lays dying, Athena warns Kratos that Zeus, the king of the Greek gods, will eventually seek revenge on him for killing Ares, Zeus’ own son.
Immediately after the prologue, the game skips ahead to six months later and Kratos is shown living as a hermit in Sparta. One day, while out hunting, Kratos encounters a group of Spartans who are being attacked by a horde of demons. Kratos helps the Spartans to drive the demons away, and afterwards he is approached by Sparta’s king, Leonidas. Leonidas asks Kratos to help him defend Sparta from an impending attack by the Persian army, and Kratos agreeS.
The game then follows Kratos as he leads the Spartan army against the Persian forces, eventually leading up to a final confrontation with the Persian king, Xerxes. After defeating Xerxes, Kratos returns to Sparta only to find that it has been overrun by demons. Kratos then sets out on a quest to find Pandora’s Box, which he believes will give him the power to defeat the demons and save Sparta.
